Care and Share Groups
Small groups that usually meet in homes on a bi-monthly basis for spiritual encouragement and fellowship.
Brethren Way of Christ
A three-day retreat designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians, and through them, their families, churches and the environment in which they live and work. There are separate retreats for men and women, both offered in the spring and fall each year.
A six-week course offered periodically for anyone interested in becoming a member of First Brethren or simply deepening their relationship with the Lord. The course covers the Six G’s – Grace, Growth, Groups, Gifts, Generosity, and Go. A Spiritual Gifts assessment is also included to help participants personally discover ways in which God made them to serve and honor Him.
A meeting in the church library on Tuesday evenings at 6:30, to pray for needs in the church, community, nation and world.
A Mentor/Discipler is a more experienced believer in Christ who imparts to another believer the knowledge, skill and truths to grow in Christ while affecting the believer’s character and behavior. This is usually done through one-on-one meetings, and can also be done in a small group. One method used in the First Brethren Church is a three-part mentoring curriculum.
Through the Bible in Three
A church Bible reading plan utilizing monthly bookmarks in which the whole Bible is read in three years, including the New Testament twice. Click here to see the readings.
