Kurt Stout
Senior Pastor
Email Pastor Kurt

“Christ is before all things, and in him all things hold together.“
Colossians 1:17
Before becoming the Senior Pastor, Kurt came to First Brethren as an intern 27 years ago. He fell in love with the people (especially one young girl who he married the following year!). Kurt and Heidi have four kids. They are a global family. Isaac (21) is from India. Caleb (19) is theirs biologically. Beletu (17) and Hanna (13) are from Ethiopia. They live on a small plot of land at the edge of town and enjoy walking the creek, hiking the trails, shooting hoops, and having campfires. The Stouts used to have 4H goats in their small barn, but now it’s an Airbnb called The Shed Retreat. People from all over find their way to the shed, and hopefully experience God there too. Kurt can juggle three balls in the air, but with so many responsibilities, he will tell you that this verse is a good reminder that Jesus (not Kurt) is the One who keeps everything in place.

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.“
Galatians 2:20
Ron has been with NMFBC for 13 years, and he and Pei Eng have been married for 36 years. He was born and raised a Buckeye (which some say is a useless nut) and likes sports, especially baseball, and follows Cleveland teams and Ohio State. He also likes jokes, especially funny ones.

Dylan and Megan live in Winona Lake, Indiana with their beautiful daughter Annette. They have two huskies named Juno and Koda and all enjoy their family walks to the park. As Youth Discipleship Coordinator, Dylan has a passion for helping teens understand how much God loves them and equipping them in their life as followers of Jesus. “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
Nicole has been with NMFBC since 2014. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark (who serves as the church’s Property Coordinator), in 2003 and they spend most of their time raising their two daughters, Jessilyn and Analeigh. She’s the oldest, and shortest, of 3 girls and is proud to count her two younger sisters among her best friends. She worked a fast paced and stressful, but very rewarding, job for the American Red Cross for 11 years before taking a part time position with the church in order to spend more time with her young family. She served as Administrative Assistant until November of 2020 when she was hired as the Worship Coordinator. Nicole loves to sing and started learning to play piano a few years ago to help our worship team. In her spare time, she likes to crochet, read, and lounge in her backyard pool – but not all at the same time.
