February 17, “BE Like Jesus: PATIENCE” – Pastor Kurt

Freedom Sunday is about acknowledging God’s heart for those still in bondage (physically and spiritually).  And it is a challenge for us to do something about that.  God is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish.  This message answers the question, “What kind of patience does God expect from us?”  and “What kind of patience does Jesus have?”

Jesus give us peace, but His peace is different than what the world defines or gives.  Peace is not the absence of conflict.  Peace is the Presence of Christ.  It is possible to have peace even when their is troubles and conflict around us.  Jesus wants us to live in the peace knowing that He often calms His child, and not the storm.

Ever wonder how to hold on to real Hope?  In Romans we find the path to Hope.  Suffering leads to perseverance, which produces character, which leads to Hope.   This hope is different than the casual way we use the word “hope.”  Discover the reason and journey. “Rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:2)
